Bernice McDowell was the honored guest on Sunday for a birthday dinner. Other guests were Jerry and Tootsie Schmidt and Chris Frantz and Terry of Hillsboro; Brian and Shirley Lewis, Ben and Lou Lewis and friends, Adam and Jackie Lossolo, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Thomas, all of Wichita; Angie Lewis and friend from Newton; and Mr. and Mrs. E.F. Sroufe from Garden Plain. The dinner was at a café in Wichita.
Neva Fast from Houston, Texas, spent a week with her mother, Bonnie Fast. Her son and wife, Galen and Rachel Fast, and granddaughter, Erica Fast, from Colorado, were also her recent visitors. They came especially to attend the Richert-Luce wedding.
Recent Sunday guests at the Leonard Heins to celebrate Father's Day were Tony and Brandi Hein and Henry from Kinsley; Monica Hein from Newton; Kevin and Vickie Hein, John and Andrew, and Todd and Jayleen Hein of Durham.
Leonard and Hazel Hein recently helped Tony and Brandi Hein move from Baldwin City to Kinsley where Tony will be teaching this fall.
Bill and Betty Meier of Hillsboro and Bob Whitney of Newton spent the weekend in Kansas City where they visited Betty's sister, Eunuce Klein, formerly of Marion.
Irene Seibel's weekend guests were Clyde and Gaylene Seibel and son Jessie and Travis and Talitha Seibel and baby from Atlanta, Ga.
Don and Connie Isaac spent a week vacationing in Branson, Mo. Their children, Lance and Christi Zimmerman and Aidan from St. Joseph, Mo., and their son, James Isaac, and boys from Wichita spent some time with them while they were there.
Duane and Shirley Hamm and their grandson, Andrew Christenson, from Wichita attended the eighth Tucker reunion on Saturday in Anthony. Andrew was a guest of his grandparents from Wednesday to Saturday. Their granddaughter, Sarah Christenson, came home with them and was their first guest from Saturday to Tuesday evening.
