Dinner guests Sunday at the home of Oliver and Frances Unruh to celebrate Oliver's birthday were Beverly Elliot of Hillsboro and Sid Unruh, Brandon and Sarah, and Tony and Lynette Mull and Marcus of Newton.
On Monday evening, Frances took Oliver to Yoder for a birthday dinner.
On Thursday, Edwin and Alice Winter and Ron Freeman attended the County Senior Board meeting and dinner at Marion. The Winters were among others from Marion County who attended the Schick Insurance training meeting in Salina. This is an insurance for seniors.
On Tuesday, Candace Weinbrenner celebrated her 12th birthday by taking some friends to a swimming party in McPherson.
Don Bender from Huntington, Calif., spent three weeks visiting his sister Shirley and Dave Weibert and other family and friends in the area. On Thursday the Weiberts and Don went to Kansas City to visit the Weiberts' grandchildren. Their grandson Don Sprick is leaving for the coast guard in the near future.
On Wednesday Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pankratz of Hillsboro and Mr. and Mrs. Jay Burkhart of Newton were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Seibel at Kidron Village in Newton.
Recent visitors at the home of Elgin and Rubena Bartel, rural Hillsboro, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Kleinsasser of Hillsboro were their children Ron and Faith Klaassen and Jonathan from Newark, N.Y. They also visited other family and friends.
Don and Connie Isaac's grandchildren, Judah, Asher, and Reuven Isaac, from Wichita spent a week with them and attended the Parkview-Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Bible School.
Rosanne Boyd from Meade was a Friday visitor at Pearl Kochs.
