Durham Baptist King's Daughters met Thursday evening at the church for the August meeting. Kris Herbel of Lehigh and her mother, Carol Riffel of Wichita brought an interesting lesson on foods from Biblical lands. They prepared and served some Lebanese food, some of which was very tasty. Betty Meier had a devotional and Shirley Hamm a mission letter from Dennis and Nancy Palmer. Muriel Christiansen and Kathy Dirks were hostesses. Members from Hillsboro included Donna Diener, Shirley Hamm, Pearl Koch, Betty Meier, Marcella Mohn, Carol Ollenburger, Arlene Pankratz, Frances Unruh, and Connie Wiens.

Carrol and Carolyn Koch of Emporia and their grandchildren, trey and Brennan Irey of Malvern and Holey and Wesley Koch of Solon, Iowa, were Sunday dinner guests of Pearl Koch at the Pizza Hut.

Heather Evrard, Alyssa and Jacob of Missouri and Rachel Epp, Verna Epp, and Pearl Koch had lunch Thursday at the Pizza Hut.

Dave and Shirley Weibert visited their daughter-in-law, Debra Sprick at the Salina hospital. Debra is a missionary in the Philippines and returned for medical reasons.

Ruth VanderWilt accompanied Dr. R.J. and Mary Ellen Tippin of Elbing to a Christian family camp at Horn Creek, Colo.

Mary Helen Becker and Pearl Koch were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Kent and Ginger Becker, rural Durham.

Samuel, Joseph, and Elizabeth Nuss, children of the Tim Nusses of Spring Hill, spent a week at the home of Lois Nuss and the Stan Ens family.

Paul and Arlene Pankratz and Donna Diener attended the Wednesday funeral services for Bill Buller at Enid, Okla. Bill's wife is Paul's sister.

Ruth Ann Penner and daughter, Sheree Leppke of McPherson spent Thursday visiting at the home of Mike and Debbie Goossen at Beatrice, Neb. They went before school started as Debbie is the school librarian.
