Round the Town: Bernhardt visits brother in California

Thanksgiving Day guests at the home of Wilbur and Florence Hett were Alvin Hett and Kevin of Hillsboro; Mr. and Mrs. Rick Riffel and family of Phillipsburg; Mr. and Mrs. Rod Riffel and family of Rose Hill; Mr. and Mrs. Von Pschigoda of Hope; and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Webb and family of Pittsburg.
Wilbur and Mildred Hanneman and Kerry and Rachel Hein of Hillsboro had Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday at the home of Delbert and Becky Hanneman in Wichita. Other family members there were Gloria Hanneman of Wichita; Frank and Elaine Nelson and boys of Kansas City; Audrey Hanneman of Wichita; and Brad Hanneman from K-State in Manhattan. On Sunday, they all were dinner guests of Gloria Hanneman of Wichita.
House guests at the Duwane Millers over the Thanksgiving holiday were Rita and Warren from Highland Ranch, Colo. Additional guests for dinner on Saturday were Cameron and Heather Wathen from Clarksdale, Miss., and Adam and Rachel Wathen and Max of Hillsboro. The Cameron Wathens were house guests of the Adam Wathen family. On Thursday, they all joined others for dinner at the home of Dave and Linda Mathis in Hillsboro.
Friends having lunch together on Wednesday at Olde Towne Restaurant to celebrate the birthdays of Frances Unruh, Carol Ollenburger, and Shirley Hamm of Hillsboro, and Marilyn Geis of Marion, were Connie Wiens of Durham, Marcella Mohn, Arlene Pankratz, Donna Diener, Elma Klein, Pearl Koch, Doris David, Jane Miller, Mildred Hanneman, Betty Meir, Virginia Fadenrecht, and Mary Lancaster, all of Hillsboro.
Betty Bernhardt accompanied Roland and Marjorie Krause of Wichita to California where they visited their brother Francis and his wife Florence and family at Fresno, Calif. They celebrated Francis' 80th birthday while there. They also visited Don and Marie Faul at Fresno. At Reedley, Calif., they visited Charles and Mary Ann Edwards, Ellen Janzen, and Rose Krause. They returned home Friday evening after an enjoyable two-week trip.
