Round the Town: Church women celebrate birthdays

A group of women from Durham Baptist Church celebrated the birthdays of Sheila Nuss and Kathy Jury with a dinner Tuesday at the Stone City Café in Marion. In addition to the birthday girls, those attending were Betty Meier, Arlene Pankratz, Virginia Fadenrecht, Mary Helen Becker, Olivia Jury, Donna Diener, Carol Ollenburger, Pearl Koch, Doris David, Geraldine Frick, Valorie Hampton, Frances Unruh, and Beverly Elliott, all of Hillsboro, Mildred Hamm of Tampa, and Marilyn Geis of Marion.
Oliver and Frances Unruh and Beverly Elliott were supper guests in Marion of Jim and Jerri Hampton of Newton Marion to celebrate Oliver's birthday.
Doug and Debbie Dick and boys spent a week vacationing at Colorado Springs, Colo.
Betty Medley's grandchildren, Jake, Abigail, and Brooke Medley of Topeka spent the weekend with her. Their parents, Terry and Jenny Medley, attended a wedding in Wichita Saturday evening.
Kris Meyerson, Madi and Jacob of Houston, Texas, spent the weekend with Kris's parents, Paul and Elaine Jantzen.
Tim, Donna, and Marissa Diener of Hillsboro, Kent and Emily Nichols of Hesston, Ken Pankratz of Durham, and David and Sherilyn Kadel of Randall were Sunday evening guests at the Paul Pankratz home for homemade ice cream to celebrate Tim's birthday.
Valorie Hampton was a Sunday dinner guest of her mother, Lois Sklenar at Tampa. Valorie's brother, Greg Sklenar of Wichita also was a guest.
Duane and Shirley Hamm were Saturday guests at the home of Albert, Andrew, and Sarah Christensen in Bel Aire. They celebrated Sarah's 17th birthday.
Doug and Pam Bartel, Kelsey, Kyle, and Erin and Ryan and Tanya Bartel and children traveled together to Munich, N.D., to visit Pam's mother, Ruth Klein and other family members.
