Round the Town: Family, friends celebrate Koch's birthday

Mr. and Mrs. Duane Hamm and Shirley's sister, Norma Ballard, of Topeka, spent Oct. 3 through Oct. 7 at Branson, Mo. On their way home on Sunday, they toured Precious Moments at Carthage, Mo.
On Oct. 12, Shirley and Duane Hamm attended the Garlo family reunion at Hazelton, Kan.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Hanneman spent Monday night with their daughter, Gloria Hanneman, in Wichita. In the evening they picked up Gloria at the airport. Gloria, Delbert, and Becky Hanneman were returning from visiting their brother, Delbert Hanneman, at Lancaster, Penn.
Mary Lancaster spent the weekend of Oct. 13 at Kirksville, Mo., visiting her daughter, Liz.
Kim and Delora Kaufman of Hillsboro and Jesse and Anthony Kaufman of Hesston spent the weekend visiting Denny and Joshua Johnson in Auburn, Kan.
On Tuesday, Darlene Unruh of Hillsboro accompanied Eleanora Goertzen of Goessel to the funeral services for Darlene's sister-in-law, Mrs. Ed Unruh, at Abilene.
Pearl Koch's entire family helped her celebrate her birthday on Sunday. They all attended church with her at First Baptist in Durham in the forenoon and brought in dinner, which they enjoyed at noon.
Koch's family include Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Koch and Kimberly of Wichita; Mr. and Mrs. Carrol Koch of Emporia; Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Hiebert and Ashley, all of Hillsboro; Mr. and Mrs. Tom Fleener, Zachary and Megan, all of El Dorado; Robyn Hiebert of Bolivar, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Koch, Haley and Wesley of Solon, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Brian Irey, Trey and Brennan, from Melvern, Kan.; and Koch's nephew and family, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Leopfer and Lisa from Broken Arrow, Okla.
An additional dinner guest was Rachel Epp of Hillsboro.
