Round the Town: Grandson visits from California

Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Hanneman attended the wedding of their nephew's daughter, Amie Unger, to Michael Paben at the Evangelical Free Church in Colorado Springs, Colo., last weekend.

Ryan and Ben Klaassen, Elgin and Rubena Bartel's grandsons, spent some time with them to observe the wheat harvest. The grandsons are from Texas where they don't have wheat harvest.

Sunday visitors at the home of Irma Groening were her granddaughter Kris Brenrikofer from Clay Center and Jerry and Sheri Groening from Marion.

Tom and Twila Elrod from Sacramento, Calif., came for the funeral services of Justina Klaassen and were guests for dinner out of Elgin and Rubena Bartel.

Wayne and Carol Ollenburger's grandsons Tyler, Austin, and Jordan Flores from Wichita were their weekend guests.

Duwane and Jane Miller's grandson, Evan Wathen, and his friend, Alex Tripp, from Oakland, Calif., spent part of the week with them and Evan's brother and family, Adam and Rachel Wathen and Max.

On Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pankratz and Ken Pankratz of Durham were among others from Hillsboro who attended the 50th wedding anniversary open house for Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Seibel at the First Mennonite Brethren Church in Wichita. Althea Zimmerman and her daughter Beth Platt from Missouri also came for the celebration and were over night guests at the Pankratzes Sunday night. Additional guests at the Pankratzes Sunday night were Duwane and Jane Miller.

On Monday, the Pankratzes and Althea and Beth visited Hannah Ollenburger and Lois Nuss. Others who stopped to see them on Monday were Marcella Mohn and Donna and Marissa Diener.
