Round the town: Hetts visit granddaughter in Pittsburg

Judy Penner spent the weekend with her mother, Frances Wright, at Syracuse. On Saturday, Judy and her mother attended the Smith family reunion.
Recent house guests at the home of Delilah Deckert were her son and family, Marlin and Annie Deckert and children, Audra and Emily, from San Jose, Calif. After Delilah's son and family left, her second cousins, who are the children of Rubena Lorenz, arrived. They were her guests for several days while they were visiting their mother. They were Sandra Storm, Stephanie and John from Florida; Mayre Schroeder and her daughter, Ronda, from Los Angeles, Calif.; and Russel Mueller from Alberta, Canada.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Hett visited their granddaughter and family, Mike and Robin Webb and children, in Pittsburg on Wednesday and Thursday.
Carol Ollenburger and Donna Diener were hostesses to the Durham Baptist Kings Daughters monthly meeting at the Diener home on Thursday evening. Twenty-one members answered roll with a Bible verse with the word goodness in it. One guest, Virginia Fadenrecht, was present. Muriel Christiansen had the lesson on pure evangelism.
The family of the late Fred and Julianna Hamm had a reunion at the Lake Hall at the Marion County Lake on Aug. 11, 2002. Family members present were Elma Klein, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert Hellman, Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Schattak, Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Hamm, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Pankratz, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Ollenburger, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Hett, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Hamm, Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Mohn, all of Hillsboro. Others attending were Frances Kreutziger, and Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Hamm of Marion; Elfea Townsend, Eric Shields and baby, Lillian Dickens, Ken Schwemmer, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Mosteller and granddaughter, all of Wichita; Walter Schwemmer of Newton; Eldon Schwemmer and Vickie Schwemmer and Amanda, all of El Dorado; Mr. and Mrs. Willis Kreutziger of Moundridge; Eleanor Esau of McPherson; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Shields of Parsons; Mr. and Mrs. Mark Anton and baby from Marysville; Mr. and Mrs. Gaylord Hamm of Durham; Mr. and Mrs. Russel Kreutziger and family from Cheney. The Schattak family hosted the reunion. The next reunion will be Aug. 10, 2002.
