Round the town: Koch, Diener honored at birthday breakfast

Norma Ballard of Topeka was a house guest at the Duane Hamm's from Wednesday to Sunday. On Thursday, Norma and Shirley visited their sister, Eileen Griekspor, and Albert and Janet Christensen and family in Wichita. They returned to Hillsboro on Friday.
Elgin and Rubena Bartel recently attended a birthday party for their granddaughter Andrea's 16th birthday at the home of Andrea's parents, Tyler and Diane Ewert, in Wichita. Other family members were also there.
Gladys Buller and David Buller were honored guests at a birthday dinner on Sunday at the home of Brad and Sherry Buller. Additional guests were Bud, Mike, and John Buller.
On Tuesday, Pearl Koch visited with Leonard and Luella Bartel in Marion.
Al and Marilyn Hassler from Saratoga, Calif., entertained some of their relatives at Kingfisher's Inn Sunday evening. Those attending were Wes and Evelyn Regier, Doug and Debbie Regier of Peabody, Anna Seibel, Helen Seibel, Eldon and LaVonne Wiens, Hilda and Ira Hein, Jerald and Karleen Vogt, Les and Rubena Suderman, Irene Seibel, Ruby Seibel, Clint and Evelyn Seibel, Brad and Jane Wiens and children, all of Hillsboro, Dennis Loewen of Lawrence, Karolyn Wiebe of White City Junction, Ver., and Lavella Kilpatrick and Joseph of Belton, Mo.
Erna Loewen, formerly of McPherson, moved to HCMC Long Term Care Unit. Her children, Denis Loewen of Lawrence and Karolyn Wiebe of White City Junction, Ver, helped her get settled. Her granddaughter, Daelle Klassen, and children also visited her.
Richard and Phyllis Pankratz of Topeka and Paul and Ruby Sjodin of Omaha, Neb., were Sunday night guests of Paul and Arlene Pankratz. They were here Monday for the memorial service for their father, Harry Pankratz
