Round the town: Locals celebrate November birthdays

Recent visitors at Hannah Ollenburger's were Sharon George and Becky Hamm and baby from Lehigh.

Weekend guests at the home Orlando and Marie Schultz were Brad and Rachel Griffith and children from Wakeeney.

Ruth Klein from Munich, N.D., is spending several weeks with her daughter, Pam and Doug Bartel and family. On Sunday evening, the family celebrated their daughter Erin's birthday. Additional guest were Myrta Bartel of Hillsboro, Ryan and Tanya Bartel of Hesston, and Otis Beverly from Bethel College.

On Saturday, Duane and Shirley Hamm and the Myron Hamm family of rural Hillsboro attended the birthday celebration of Austin Hamm's 13th birthday at the ice skating rink in Wichita. Other family members were also present.

Roy Steiner from New Jersey spent a few days with his parents, Eugene and Beryl Steiner, and other family and friends in the area.

Mr. and Mrs. Jay Burkhardt from Newton visited at the Paul Pankratzes Friday afternoon.

Jean Peters of Hillsboro hosted the Home Circle Club of Durham on Thursday evening at her house. Muriel Christiansen had a presentation on springs in Marion County. The group had election of officers. The new officers are Joan Harmon, president; Geraldine Frick, vice president; Joyce Medley, secretary; and Mary Christiansen, treasurer. Eleven members were present.

On Tuesday, Virgil and Jean Oblander, their houseguest for a few days, Georgie Medley from Liberty, Mo., and Ruth Peters visited their brother-in-law, Clive Dunn in the Salina Hospital. On Wednesday, the Oblanders took Georgie Medley to home in Liberty, Mo.

Also on Tuesday, Shirley Wilson of Salina visited her daughter, Jennifer Wilson of Hillsboro. Shirley took Jennifer out to dinner to celebrate her 25th birthday.
