Round the town: Olleburgers host weekend guests

On Saturday, Agnes Steiner attended the 50th wedding anniversary celebration for her cousins Arden and Carol Strole at the First United Methodist Church in Wichita. Edwin and Alice Winter of Hillsboro and Warren and Paula Fike of Ramona also attended. After the reception, a meal was served for the family.

On Sunday, Agnes Steiner attended the church service at Chingawassa Days in the Marion Park. Pastor John Ryding, former pastor of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Marion and Zion Lutheran Church in Hillsboro, brought an inspirational message to a large crowd. Pastor Ryding and his family will be missed in the community, and we wish them well in their new surroundings.

On Sunday Larry and Judy Fisher from Salina visited Hannah Ollenburger and took her out to dinner at Kingfisher Inn near Marion.

On Saturday, Pastor Curtis and Connie Wiens and evangelist Jerry Beltz were dinner guests at the Dean Ollenburgers'.

Monday guests at the Ollenburgers were Paul and Velma Dudeck from Oregon, Mo.; Lowell and Elfredia Popp from York, Neb.; Hannah Ollenburger and Bill and Betty Meier of Hillsboro. The Lowell Popps were overnight guests at the Ollenburgers'.

Mr. and Mrs. Jeryl Mohn from Sugarland, Texas, were guests at the Oliver Mohns from Monday to Wednesday. Additional guests to see the Mohns were Ken Pankratz of Durham, the Gaylord Hamms from Durham, Mr. and Mrs. Gus Hamm from rural Tampa, and the Paul Pankratzes and Gordon Mohns of Hillsboro.

Weekend guests at the home of Paul and Arlene Pankratz were Jeff and Jennifer Price and Austin from Arvada, Colo., Corey and Jolly Fessenden from Oklahoma City, Okla., and additional guests on Saturday for an evening cook out were David and Sherilyn Kadel of Randall, Ken Pankratz of Durham, Emily Diener from Manhattan and Tim and Donna Diener and Marissa from Hillsboro. They celebrated Father's Day and Jennifer's and Arlene's birthdays.

Guests for Father's Day at the Leonard Heins were Todd and Jayleen Hein of Tampa, Tony and Brandi Hein and Henry from Baldwin City, Monica Hein of Wichita, Kevin, Vicki, John, and Andrew of Hillsboro and Stephany Jensen of Marion.

Guests at the Doug Weinbrenners' Sunday evening for homemade ice cream to celebrate Father's Day were Richard and Kathy Dirks of Tampa and Don and Joyce Weinbrenner of Lehigh.
