Round the town: Residents celebrate holidays

Judy Penner spent the weekend in Syracuse with her mother, Frances Wright and other family. On Sunday they celebrated Christmas together.
On Saturday, Darlene Unruh of Hillsboro and Elvera and Dewane Dirks of Topeka took dinner to Memorial Home in Moundridge and celebrated Christmas together with additional family members Melvin and Sadie Jantz of Memorial Home and Roland Decker from Newton.
Elizabeth Lancaster from Kirksville, Mo., spent a week in Hillsboro with her parents, Dave and Mary Lancaster. She celebrated her birthday while here.
Dave and Mary Lancaster, Elizabeth and Dirk Lancaster from Lindsborg spent Christmas with Dave's parents, George and Lucille Lancaster, and other family in Kansas City.
Duane and Shirley Hamm attended church services at the First Baptist Church in McPherson on Sunday and heard the presentation of their Christmas Cantata. Their daughter, Charlene Thiessen, was one of the participants. After the Cantata, the Thiessens and Duane and Shirley had dinner together.
On Christmas Day, Pauline Winter and her grandchildren, Charles and Marci Winter and daughter from North Carolina and Steve and Mandi Abernathy and daughter from Colorado, had dinner at the home of Pauline's son and wife, Terry and Janet Winter, in Wichita.
Roy Steiner from New Jersey spent a week over Christmas with his parents, Eugene and Beryl Steiner, and other family.
