Round the town: Residents entertain Thanksgiving guests

Jon and Ellynne Wiebe and boys hosted the Wiebe family Thanksgiving dinner at their home. Family there were Don and Connie Isaac, Linden and Doreen Thiessen and family, Raymond and David Wiebe, all of Hillsboro, James Isaac and boys of Wichita, and Lance and Christy Zimmerman from St. Joseph, Mo.

Clara and Alma Toews were Thanksgiving dinner guests at the home of the Melvin Litwellers of rural Hillsboro. Other guests were Marvin and Pearl Ensz and Carol and Gaylen and Teresa Ensz and children of rural Hillsboro.

Sunday, Alma Toews attended funeral services for Dayton Unruh at the Morning Star Church near Durham.

Lavella Kilpatrick and Joseph from Kansas City were Thanksgiving Day dinner guests of Irene Seibel of Hillsboro. Thursday evening they joined others for dinner at the home of Gib and Elaine Suderman of Hillsboro.

Bernice McDowell spent from Wednesday to Sunday with Brian and Shirley Lewis and family in Wichita. On Thanksgiving Day, they all were dinner guests at the home of Brian's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Lewis, in Hutchinson.

Reno and Edith Penner, rural Hillsboro, had Thanksgiving dinner with Dennis, Judy, and Mike Penner in Hillsboro.

Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Mohn and Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Mohn accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Bob Haug and Tiffany of Jetmore to Houston, Texas, and were Thanksgiving vacation guests of Mr. and Mrs. Jeryl Mohn. Jennifer Mohn from Lincoln Christian College in Lincoln, Ill., was also a guest.

Marguerite Goertz, Gwyvotta Herbel and Hush Berry, all of Hillsboro, Benita Holiday from Texas, Jacque LaDuke from California, and Eric and Kim Steinle and boys were Thanksgiving Day dinner guests of Gwyvotta Herbel's daughter and husband, Sheldon and Vicki Steinle, at Little River.

Don and Phyllis Elston of Wichita and Mike and Meredith Ryan of Hillsboro were Thanksgiving Day dinner guests of Martha Yauk.

Edwin and Alice Winter hosted a Thanksgiving dinner Wednesday evening at their home. Family there were Larry and Bonnie Winter from Silver Lake, Keith and Wanda Unruh from Lindsborg, and John and Jennifer Bowers and family from McPherson.

Jeff and Jennifer Price and Austin from Denver, Colo., and Holly Kadel from Oklahoma City, Okla., were guests at the Paul Pankratzes from Wednesday to Sunday. On Thursday evening, they all joined the late Bill and Leah Hamm family for Thanksgiving dinner at the Durham Community Building. Additional family there were David and Sherilyn Kadel from Randall; Ken Pankratz, Gaylord and Valera Hamm and Van VanTauber from Durham; Larry and Bonnie Winter and April of Silver Lake; Pat and Tanya Winter and family from Wichita; Matt and Ginger Robert of Marion; Jim and Myrna Hamm and family and Gus and Mildred Hamm of Tampa; Dave and Sharon Schrag and boys of Lindsborg; Corey Fessendon from Oklahoma City, Okla.; Tim and Donna Diener and girls from Hillsboro; and Kent Nickols of Eureka.

Mr. and Mrs. Malvin Schmidt of rural Hillsboro, Jerry Schmidt of Salina and Leroy Schmidt of McPherson, spent Thanksgiving with Malvina Heinricks and family at Tulsa, Okla. Trenton Schmidt was also a guest. They toured the Christmas animated display at Rhema Bible College in Broken Arrow, Okla.

Betty Medley and Frieda Birkle joined their family at the home of Chris and Denise Koselac and family at Shawnee for their Thanksgiving dinner. Other family there were Rick and Rhonda Medley and family of Galva and Terry and Jenny Medley and family of Shawnee.

Gene Seibel of Springfield, Mo., spent Friday evening through Sunday evening at the home of Clarence and Mary Seibel. Sunday at noon, they went with the Lowell Jost family to eat in Wichita to celebrate the 18th birthday of Karis Jost.
