Round the Town: Wiens celebrate 65th years ago

Clara and Alma Toews were Saturday evening dinner guests of their nieces, Carol and Verna Ensz, at Olde Town Restaurant in Hillsboro.
Sunday evening after church, Clara and Alma Toews and Abe and Louise Ensz were guests at the home of Orlan and Annabel Becker for refreshments to celebrate Clara's birthday.
Pearl Koch took Ben and Mary Wiens to Durham for lunch Tuesday to celebrate the Wiens' 65th wedding anniversary.
Relatives in Hillsboro received word of the death of Eddie Frantz of Woodland, Calif. Eddie has two sisters-in-law, Ida Frantz and Martha Frantz, at Parkside homes, Inc.; a sister, Josie Eslinger of Canton; a sister, Mary Unruh in Goessel; and a host of other relatives in the area. Sympathy is extended to his wife, Lucille, and children, Don and Carolyn and their families.
Weekend guests at the Virgil Oblanders were Marcy Oblander from Shell Knob, Mo., Gene Oblander and April and Julie Oblander and Kamen from Greeley, Colo., and the Peter Daniel family from London, England.
Anita Miller from California has been visiting her grandmother, Ella Shuber, at HCMC Long Term Care Unit. She came especially to help her grandmother celebrate her 100th birthday. She also called at the Oliver Mohn and Paul Pankratz homes in Hillsboro, and the Gus Hamm's near Tampa. She was a house guest of her aunt and uncle, Harry and Mildred Friesen, at Canada.
