Round the Town: Zimmerman celebrates 97th birthday years ago

Keith Hanneman from Lancaster, Pa., visited his parents, Wilbur and Mildred Hanneman of Hillsboro and other family and friends in the early part of January. One morning, the Hannemans and Keith had breakfast with Paul and Elda Suderman at the Durham Café.
Eddie Weibert of Fresno, Calif., brother of Dave and Ivan Weibert, is home from the hospital, recovering from knee surgery and a staff infection.
Mollie Zimmerman was honored with a birthday get together at Salem Home for her 97th birthday. Her nieces Jane Miller, Lois Nuss, Ruby Hefley, and Florence Ehrlich were hostesses for the occasional. Residents, family, and friends were guests.
Don and Connie Isaac hosted the family of Dave and Martha Wiebe on New Year's Day. Family there were John and Carol Wiebe, David Wiebe, Raymond Wiebe, the Linden Thiessen family, and Jon and Ellyne Wiebe and children, all of Hillsboro; James Isaac and boys of Wichita; and the Zimmermans from St. Joseph, Mo.
Sympathy is extended to the Bill Meiers on the death of Betty's sister, Lois Whitney of Newton. Among those attending the memorial service in Newton on Wednesday morning were the Meiers, Pearl Koch, Elma Klein, Wilbur and Mildred Hanneman, Oliver and Frances Unruh, and Paul and Arlene Pankratz.
On Saturday evening, Tim, Donna, and Marissa Diener and Truman Diener were guests at a birthday party at the home of Glen and Sharon Diener in Newton to celebrate Sarah's second birthday.
