Ruby Hefling
Ruby June Hefling, 69, of Halstead died June 19, 2004, at her residence.
Born June 12, 1935, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Edward and Martha (Seibel) Suderman.
On Dec. 12, 1958, at Hillsboro, she married James M. Hefling. He survives.
She was a homemaker, beautician, and waitress.
She was member of First United Methodist Church in Halstead and the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 5 in Newton.
She was preceded in death by her son Darrell Edward and brother Leon Suderman.
Survivors include her husband of the home; son, Duane Hefling of Halstead; daughter, Denise Moore of Hutchinson; brother, Les Suderman of Hillsboro; sisters, Hilda Hein of Hillsboro and Adena Schmidt of Fresno, Calif.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Services were held Wednesday at First United Methodist Church in Halstead with Rev. Nancy Lambing officiating. Burial was at Halstead Cemetery in Halstead.
A memorial has been established with the church.
