Ruth Miller

Ruth Elizabeth Miller, 93, died Oct. 18, 2006, at Schowalter Villa, Hesston. She was a homemaker.

Born Dec. 9, 1912 in Brandon Colo., she was the seventh of eight children of Andrew J. and Fannie (Troyer) Stutzman. Her parents moved to Crystal Springs in Harper County in 1913.

On Nov. 28, 1935, she married Norman Miller in Crystal Springs. He died in 1990.

A member of Crystal Springs Mennonite Church she taught Sunday and Bible schools. She also quilted with the Women's Missionary Society.

Survivors include two sons, Larry Miller, Harper, and Keith Miller and wife Lois, Newburgh, Ind.; daughter, Margaret Winsinger and husband Harold, Topeka; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were Oct. 23 at Schowalter Villa Chapel, Pastor Cheryl Hershberger and Chaplain Beverly Baumgartner presiding. Burial was at Crystal Springs Mennonite Cemetery, rural Harper.
