Salem Homes: Residents attend parade
The last morning camp for staff children was held on July 18. Residents and children enjoyed working on a quilt that was be taken to the fair.
Residents worked hard on making six pints of strawberry jam on July 24. The jam was entered in the Marion County Fair.
A poppy seed cake, peanut butter cookies and double-decker chocolate and coconut brownies were made on Aug. 6 entered in the fair. Residents attended the parade on Aug. 7.
The following residents enjoyed the carry-in at the senior center on July 17: Martha Klein, Rosy Ollek, Elsie Gerlach, Elda Riesen-Stean and Ruth Wenger.
Residents have been enjoying a journey across the U.S. every Tuesday afternoon by watching travel videos on Florida, Chicago, and Branson. Bible study on Wednesday morning has been on a variety of scripture from the power of prayer to how to be a good friend.
