On Oct. 23 the Goessel Senior Center celebrated the October birthdays with Laura Schrag telling several funny Uncle Josh stories. Celebrating were Eugene Franzen, Elsie Schmidt, Ruth Ratzlaff, Roy Frey, Nancy Schmidt, Louise Schmidt, and Andy Plett.

On Oct. 29 the following enjoyed a visit to the Copper Shed: Ann Voth, Milferd Brandt, Rudy Voth, LaWanda Banman, Laura Schmidt, Alda Ediger, Art Goertz, Betty Schmidt, Orpha and Emil Dirks, Tony and Joan Epp and RuthAnn Penner. On the way home the group stopped at the Big Scoop in Marion for supper.

On Nov. 6 the video "What Everyone Should Know about Alzheimer's Disease" was shown at the center.

We are trying a new activity — a second Tuesday of the month shopping trip to Newton. On Nov. 12, Phyllis Goertzen took the following ladies to shop: LaWanda Banman, Ruth Brandt, Roszella Wedel, and Alice Base. They all reported having a good time.

For our November anniversary dinner John Hybsh inspired us with his poetry. Those celebrating were Nola and Rudy Schmidt, Orie and Frieda Voth and Orville and Elsie Unruh.

"My Canadian Experience" was the program on Nov. 20 presented by RuthAnn Penner.
