Seibel celebrates 100th birthday at Parkside years ago

Helen Seibel was honored with a birthday party celebrating her 100th birthday on Friday afternoon. There was a short program by friends and family. Everyone brought cards and many birthday wishes. Birthday cake was served to the guests.
Monday, Parkside residents enjoyed the video, "No More Baths." We were reminded of the Civil Rights protests of the 1960s.
On Tuesday, a group met to play dominoes. Snacks were served with coffee to the players.
A memorial service was held for Viola Jost on Wednesday afternoon. Curtis Wiens gave the Bible devotional. Vanilla ice cream was served after the service.
Thursday afternoon, residents enjoyed visiting the past with stories read by Cathy Fish.
Theater popcorn was served on Saturday afternoon. The Men's Group met with Dave Hunter in the afternoon. The United Methodist Church brought the Sunday afternoon worship service.
