Selma Penner
Selma Penner, 89, of Hillsboro, died Feb. 24, 2002, at Salem Home in Hillsboro.
Born Nov. 13, 1912, at Hillsboro, she was the daughter of Heinrich and Katherine (Janzen) Penner.
On Feb. 5, 1948 in Hillsboro, she married Arnold Penner.
She was a housewife and a member of Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by her son Clinton Penner in 1967.
Survivors include her husband of Hillsboro; sons, Curtis Penner of Lehigh and Galen Penner of rural Hillsboro; daughters, Fern Nickerson of Gladstone, Mo., and Joretta Martens of Haven; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Mennonite Church with Pastor Tim Kliewer officiating. Burial will be at Johannestal Cemetery, rural Hillsboro. Visitation hours will be from 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Hillsboro Memorial Chapel.
A memorial fund has been established with the church.
