Selma Reusser

Selma Ediger Reusser, 86, of Hesston, died Nov. 14, 2004, at Schowalter Villa, Hesston.

Born Oct. 19, 1918, in Buhler, she was the daughter of Herman K. and Katrina (Buller) Ediger.

On Dec. 10, 1943, she married Gail Reusser at Newton. He preceded her in death.

She was a teacher and mental health professional. She was a member of Bethel College Mennonite Church, Shoe Scuffers Square Dance Club, and Golden Circle Camping Club.

In 1946 she moved to Walton where she was active in EHU., YWCA., church and civic groups, and 4-H. She moved to Moundridge in 1996 and to Hesston in 2001.

Survivors include daughters, Joan Turetsky of Fairfax, Va., Beverly Reusser of Washington, D.C., and Mary Reusser of Kansas City, Mo.; brother, Menno Ediger of Mason, Ohio; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday (today) at Bethel College Mennonite Church in North Newton with Revs. Heidi Regier Kreider and Norma Johnson officiating.

Instead of flowers, contributions may be made to Mennonite Central Committee for water projects.
