Senior Scribbles: Bus trip almost full

Our bus outing is almost full. We will leave the center at 9:15 a.m. When we arrive in Hutchinson, we will tour the Cosmosphere.

Following this informative and education trip through the history of space exploration, we will go for lunch at the Lone Star Café. We will return to the Cosmosphere to view the Lewis and Clark Expedition.

If you have not made a decision to make the trip, call now. There are only two places left. We want to have no empty seats.

If you were interested in attending the classes for defensive driving, they have been postponed due to family medical reasons.

They will be rescheduled in December. When the date has been confirmed, we will notify those interested.

On Wednesday, Oct. 18, Dr. Zafar comes to check on hearing. For those who need assistance, please call prior to that morning to schedule time with him. There is an appointment book to assist him with your time needs so you don't have to wait long to see him. Thank you for your assistance in keeping the morning run smoothly.

On Nov. 2, there will be an outing to Wichita to the Crown Uptown Theater. We will see "Singing In The Rain." The bus isn't full yet, so if you wish to be a part of the group, call in now to reserve your spot. The cost for this outing is $35 for the play, lunch and transportation.

Turkey Day will soon be here. If you haven't made plans for your holiday, here is a suggestion: join your friends here at 6 p.m. Nov. 16. Our annual Thanksgiving dinner will be served that evening with a program following featuring the Hiebert Dulcimers from Abilene. Mark your calendar now so we can serve you then.

For those who have not come to see our facility, come in any time. If you like to do volunteer work, let us know.
