Senior Soundings

The covered dish at the senior center was held Wednesday. After the lunch, Becky Carlson, physical education teacher at Hillsboro elementary School and her students demonstrated BAL-A-Vis-X. This is an exercise program that may benefit senior citizens. The senior post office began at 11 a.m., and Dr. Zafar came at 11:15 a.m.

Today, Lou Greenhaw of Greenhaw Pharmacy will speak after the noon meal. She will discuss the Medicare prescription plan.

Men's coffee begins at 2:30 p.m. at the senior center. Come for coffee, goodies, games, and conversation.

The March birthday dinner will be held at noon Monday at the center. The German Singers will present a program after the meal.

A van outing to the Cosmosphere in Hutchinson is planned for Tuesday. Departure time is 10 a.m. ;the group will see "Everest" at the IMAX theatre.

Those who volunteered their time at the senior center this week were: Kitchen — Nellie Jost, Mildred Jantz, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Phyllis Neuenschwander, Ethelda Lemon, Kim Friesen, Edna Spinks, and Mariann Unruh; Meal delivery — Paul Ediger, Wilbur Hanneman, and Lonn Richards; FISH transportation — Albert Fadenrecht, Elvina Ediger, Gladys Schmidt, Helen Fadenrecht, and Betty Bernhardt.
