Senior Soundings

"Safe at Home" is a video which will be shown today after lunch at he Hillsboro Senior Center. It addresses the subject of adapting one's living space to remain independent. Bob Vila narrates the video.

Dr. Michael Reeh will speak at the center on Friday after the meal. His subject is "Blood Pressure."

On Monday at the center, the July birthday party is planned. A video "Kansas in the Mid-20th Century" will provide a glimpse into life in our state about 50 years ago.

Games, gab, and goodies are on the calendar at the center on July 28. Bring friends and games.

Volunteers at the senior center last week included: Kitchen — Gladys Jantz, Nellie Jost, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Louise Rahe, Frieda Birkle, Lydia Pankratz, Esther Pankratz, Mariann Unruh, and Mildred Jantz. Meal delivery — Jim Brennan, Ray Matz, Harold Pankratz, and John Vogt. FISH transportation — Albert Fadenrecht, Ray Franz, Eldon Knak, Helen Fadenrecht, and Malinda Suderman.
