Senior Soundings: Birthday dinner is Monday

The covered dish luncheon was held Wednesday. The senior center post office was available Wednesday. Dr. Zafar helped with hearing problems. Lunch was served and followed by a program by the Pat Nuss team about estate sales.
Men's coffee is on the calendar for Friday at 2:30 p.m. Coffee, games, and conversation, treats and goodies are planned for all who attend.
The August birthday dinner will be held at noon on Monday at the center. Following the meal, the first half of the video, "Shepherd of the Hills," will be shown. The last half is scheduled for Tuesday. This video is taken from the presentation of the same name in Branson.
On Aug. 27, games, gab, and goodies will fill the afternoon. A video, "Food Safety for Seniors," will be viewed immediately following the meal.
Those who volunteered at the senior center last week were: Kitchen — Gladys Jantz, Mildred Jantz, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Velda Hiebert, Millie Hanneman, Norma Cabeen, Kim Friesen, and Lydia Pankratz; Meal delivery — Paul Ediger and Wilbur Hanneman; FISH transportation — Gladys Schmidt and Malinda Suderman.
