Senior Soundings: Fair entries due Aug. 6

June Glasgow will speak after lunch at the senior center today. Her topic will be the Heartland Share program — food at a reduced price based on volunteering.
Mary McFadden, R.N., will be present on Aug. 4 for foot care appointments. Her hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. She will also take blood pressures.
Entry day at the Marion County Fair is from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Aug. 6. The seniors of Marion County have an exhibit. Anything made within the past two years is eligible. Judging will be completed that day.
A video, "Rotten Truth," will be shown after the meal at the center on Aug. 7. Landfills and problems with trash disposal are portrayed in this program.
Those who volunteered last week at the senior center were: Kitchen — Gladys Jantz, Nellie Jost, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Kim Friesen, Jean Herbel, Erma Pankratz, Velda Hiebert, Mariann Unruh, Mildred Jantz. Meal delivery — Jim Brennan and Bud Buller. FISH transportation — Lydia Pankratz and Betty Bernhardt.
