CONNEE WILLIS

Activity director

Commodities are available at the senior center today. Applesauce, canned chicken, peanut butter, potato flakes, potato slices, raisins, tomato sauce, and canned corn will be distributed along income guidelines.

Becky Lind, dietitian from the Area Agency on Aging, will present a program Nov. 22 after the meal at the center. "Act in Time — Heart Attack" is the title of her presentation.

On Monday at the center, all November birthdays will be honored at the meal. The program which follows is a video "In His Steps" about a Topeka pastor, Charles Sheldon, who fostered an experiment where he encouraged his followers to live like Jesus.

Games, gab, and goodies will fill the afternoon at the center on Nov. 27.

The senior center will be closed Nov. 28 and 29.

Those who volunteered at the senior center last week included: Kitchen — Gladys Jantz, Mildred Jantz, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Ann Fast, Edna Spinks, Velda Hiebert, Jean Herbel, Mariann Unruh, and Fern Unruh; Meal drivers — Lonn Richard and Elgin Bartel; and FISH transportation — Eldon Knak and Gladys Schmidt.
