Senior Soundings: Seniors to attend fair at Salina

Commodities arrive at 10 a.m. Thursday at the senior center for distribution.
A video, "Home, Sweet Home," will be shown Thursday after lunch. The video deals with ways to adapt your home as you age.
Men's coffee is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday. Coffee and goodies will be served to those who come for games and conversation.
Mary McFadden, RN, will be available Monday for foot care and blood pressure checks.
A number of Hillsboro seniors will attend the Senior Fair Tuesday at Salina. Workshops on aging issues and entertaining speakers are scheduled.
Dr. Haris Zafar, audiologist, will see hearing clients at 11:15 a.m. Sept. 21.
The covered dish luncheon will follow at noon. The program is "show and tell" where handiwork from seniors will be featured.
Volunteers in the kitchen this week were Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Margaret Funk, Carol Hicks, Frieda Birkle, Frances Rempel, Jeri Klose, and Louise Rahe. Meal delivery volunteers were Elgin Bartel and Pearl Hadley. FISH transportation providers were Betty Bernhardt and Leona Koslowsky.
