Senior Soundings: Session to answer Medicare questions

"What's New with Medicare" is a presentation scheduled at the senior center after lunch on Friday. Shirley Wickman of the Area Agency on Aging in Manhattan will answer questions concerning benefits, especially changes which have occurred.
Mary McFadden, RN, has changed her hours for the month of July. She will be available for foot care and taking blood pressures from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on July 8 and July 15. No appointment is necessary.
A video, "High Blood Cholesterol," will be shown at the center following the meal on July 10. On July 11, Cathy Fish, librarian, will review a selection of books from the library. All new library books arrive that day. Come in and check out some good reading.
Those who volunteered their time at the Hillsboro Senior Center last week included: Kitchen — Nellie Jost, Velda Hiebert, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Mildred Jantz, Norma Cabeen, Lydia Pankratz, Mariann Unruh, and Liz Ryding; Meal delivery — Lonn Richards and Wilbur Hanneman; and FISH transportation — Betty Bernhardt, Ethel Bartel, Gladys Schmidt, and Liz Ryding.
