Senior Soundings: Shirley Wickman to speak today

The covered dish luncheon was held Wednesday at the center. The senior center post office was available and Dr. Zafar saw hearing patients. After the noon meal, Dr. Herb and Ruth Friesen spoke on "Afghanistan Today."
Today, Shirley Wickman of the Area Agency on Aging, Manhattan, will speak at 12:30 p.m. on 'Medicare Approved Drug Discount Cards."
Men's coffee begins at 2:30 p.m. Friday. Games, goodies, and conversation are available. Lunch is served at approximately 3 p.m.
Next Tuesday, many Marion County seniors will be in Salina for Senior Fair 2004. Exhibits, entertainment, and interesting workshops await all who attend.
Those who volunteered their time at the senior center last week were: Kitchen — Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Phyllis Neuenschwander, Ethelda Lemon, Frieda Birkle, Velda Hiebert, Ann Fast, and Mildred Jantz. Meal drivers — Elgin Bartel and Pearl Hadley.
