Senior Soundings: Tax help available at Senior Center

Cathy Fish, librarian, joined seniors for lunch last Thursday for a Book Look. She previewed books from the library that seniors could check out. A new set of books was available after lunch that day.
Mary McFadden, RN, will be available at the center for exercise class at 9 a.m. on Monday and Thursday. She will do foot care and take blood pressures from 9:45 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Liz Ryding, VITA tax volunteer, will help with income tax, food sales tax, and homestead applications every Tuesday and Friday at the senior center, from 10 to noon, and 1 to 4 p.m. This schedule will continue through April 15.
On Feb. 11, Dr. Whitely will speak on "Fibromyalgia." This topic will be presented after the meal at the center.
A video, "Alzheimer's Disease — What You Should Know," will be shown after lunch on Feb. 13 at the center.
Sign up now for the Valentine luncheon to be held at noon Feb. 14 at the center. Mark IV Quartet will provide a musical program after the meal.
Those who volunteered their time at the senior center last week included: Kitchen — Gladys Jantz, Nellie Jost, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, vi Suderman, Lydia Pankratz, Jean Herbel, Esther Pankratz, Mariann Unruh, and Velda Hiebert; Meal drivers — Lonn Richards, Paul Suderman, and John Vogt.
