Today from 11 to noon, before lunch at the senior center, a group will present information about a heart-healthy exercise program to begin at the center in January. A sign-up sheet will be available to all who are interested. This program is sponsored by the American Heart Association and originates with Kansas State University.
On Nov. 14, a ladies' day outing is planned beginning at 1:30 p.m. A visit to the home of Aldina Franz to hear of her woodcarving hobby is the first stop. After this, the group will journey to Canton to the Victorian Tea room to experience a mini-tea.
The covered dish lunch is planned for Nov. 19 at noon. Gary Mason of Emporia will speak after lunch about his experiences with Mother Teresa. Prior to lunch, the senior center post office and Dr. Zafar are scheduled at 11 and 11:15 a.m.
The annual Thanksgiving dinner at the center is planned for Nov. 20 at 6:30 p.m. A sign-up sheet is available. Music will be provided by Dave Clark and members of the high school vocal music department.
