Commodities will be distributed from the senior center beginning at 10 a.m. today. Fruit-nut trail mix, sweet potatoes, peanut butter, rice, tomato soup, peanuts, almonds, instant milk, cranberry juice, and beef stew will be distributed under income guidelines.

The annual Thanksgiving dinner will be held at 6:30 p.m. today at the senior center. The program will be presented by the vocal department of the high school.

Men's coffee is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Friday at the center. All men are invited to come for coffee, games, and conversation.

The November birthday party will be held at noon on Nov. 24 at the center. After lunch, the group will see a video "The Defining of America" — shaping our history from the beginning as the new president, George Washington, assumes office.

Games, gab, and goodies will dominate the afternoon on Nov. 26 at the center. The center will be closed on Thursday and Friday.

Those who volunteered their time at the center last week were: Kitchen — Gladys Jantz, Velda Hiebert, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Edna Spinks, Kim Friesen, Margaret Funk, Mildred Jantz, and Mariann Unruh; Meal delivery — Paul Ediger and Wilbur Hanneman; FISH transportation — Betty Bernhardt and Kermit Ratzlaff.
