At the November birthday celebration at the senior center on Nov. 24, Ruth Ratzlaff, Norma Jean Eitzen, Kenneth Eitzen, and Ervin Hogg were honored at the birthday table. Following the meal, a video, "The Defining of America — Exploring the Symbols that Represent our Country," was shown.
The senior center will be closed on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 27-28, for observance of the Thanksgiving holiday.
On Monday, Mary McFadden, RN, will be at the center administering foot care and taking blood pressures. Please call for an appointment for foot care.
At 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday at the center, a K-State Research and Extension representative will follow-up on Vision Card marketing during the past year.
The annual Christmas dinner is scheduled for Dec. 16 at 6 p.m. at the center. A sign-up sheet is posted at the center.
Those who volunteered their time at the senior center last week included: Kitchen — Gladys Jantz, Mildred Jantz, Irma Koop, Irma Groening, Lydia Pankratz, Louise Rahe, Esther Pankratz, Mariann Unruh, and Velda Hiebert; Meal delivery — Ron Freeman, Jim Brennan, and Harold Pankratz; FISH transportation — Elvina Ediger, Malinda Suderman, and Helen Fadenrecht.
