Sexual abuse survivor to speak out at Tabor convo

Nicole Braddock, an outspoken sexual abuse survivor and sexual assault prevention advocate, will appear at Tabor College. Braddock's presentation, titled "Our Little Secret," will be held during a convocation session on Monday, Feb. 24, in the Chapel-Auditorium. The convocation will begin at 9:30 a.m.

Braddock will give a presentation in which she uses her experience with childhood sexual abuse committed by a family member as a vehicle to address issues of sexual violence and abuse in society. She will also discuss the importance and power of healing in the lives of students. She will share how her faith has brought healing despite the suffering she endured for 11 years at the hands of her abuser.

Braddock is a national speaker with Campus Outreach Services, an organization that has offered programs to hundreds of thousands of students at over 1000 colleges, high schools and military institutions in 47 states over the last nine years. Before speaking on the national level, Braddock completed a degree in psychology and worked as a rape crisis counselor.

Everyone is welcome to attend.
