Sharon Dillenbeck
Sharon Colleen (Tucker) Dillenbeck, 70, of Tomball, Texas, formerly of El Dorado, died April 15, 2007, following a lengthy illness.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Dr. Keith Dorton of Clarks Summit, Pa.; son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Lori Dillenbeck of Spring, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Lyn and Charles Spring of Bonner Springs; and four grandchildren, Jessica and Kyle Dorton,and Colleen and Mary Beth Dillenbeck.
Sharon was born in Peabody on Oct. 20, 1936, to the late Lyle "Tuck" and Violet Tucker.
She graduated from Peabody High School in 1954 and attended Wichita State University. Following her marriage in 1957, she moved to Boston, Mass., where she lived two years before relocating to El Dorado to raise her family. Other than two years in West Paducah, Ky., she lived and worked in El Dorado as secretary for the superintendent of USD 490, retiring after 30 years. She moved to Tomball in 2001.
An avid collector of antiques and a talented writer, Sharon was an active member of the El Dorado Antiques Club for many years and wrote articles for KanHistique magazine.
Personable and compassionate, she elicited the best a person had in them, winning friends from all age groups the world over in the process.

A memorial service will be held in Peabody at a later date.
