Shooting incident leads to arrest
Peabody police were called Friday afternoon to Plum Street in Peabody.
According to Peabody Police Chief Jeff Pohlman, officers had received a report of an adult male walking along the street intermittently firing a 12-gauge shotgun. The individual was intoxicated and was arrested without incident.
He was charged with public intoxication, discharging a firearm in the city limits, aggravated assault, and disorderly conduct.
After evaluation he was taken to Larned State Hospital.
