Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hiebert of Newton visited at the Virgil Oblander home on Tuesday.

On Thursday, the Oblanders attended the funeral service for Donald Riffel at the Shady Brook Lutheran Church in rural Herington. Donald's wife, LaDell (Oblander) Riffel, is formerly from Durham and is Virgil's niece.

Rod and Edith Yost from South Dakota were Sunday evening supper guests at the home of Clara and Alma Toews. Edith is their niece.

Elma Warkentine of Hillsboro and Bob and Coleen Warkentine of Salina attended funeral services for Elma's sister-in-law, Mrs. Leroy (Lillah) Schultz, on Tuesday, Feb. 6, at Henderson, Neb.

Leonard and Hazel Hein and the Kevin Hein family were Sunday guests at the home of Tony and Brandi Hein in Baldwin. They celebrated the first birthday of little Henry Hein, Leonard and Hazel's great-grandson.

On Thursday, Duane and Shirley Hamm were in Wichita and visited their daughter, Janet Christensen, and family and had lunch with Eileen Griekspoor of Wichita and Dee and Benita Waggner of Sedgwick.

Norma Cabeen's Tuesday evening dinner guests were Bryon and Carole Davies, Megan and Emily and Bob Smith, all of Marion, and Bob's son, Terry from Sterling, Va.

Oliver and Frances Unruh and Beverly Elliot met Chrystal and Paul Aimsworth, Nick and Aleck from Rogers, Ark., in Newton Friday evening. They had supper together. Tony and Lynette Mull of Newton joined them.

Paul and Arlene Pankratz were Sunday dinner guests of Elmer and Dorothy Seibel in Newton. Additional guests were Seibel's family, Marty and Leora Schneider and family from Nebraska and Gerald and Loretta Seibel and family from Kechi. They celebrated the birthdays of Elmer, Dorothy, Paul and the Seibel's grandson, Jacob Seibel. Their birthdays are all on Jan. 31. Additional afternoon guests were Jay and Luella Burkhart of Newton.
