Statuary stolen from business

Thieves stole a concrete rhinoceros March 21 from Deer Trail Implement Inc., 902 N. Cedar Street, Marion.

March 20: A funeral escort was provided. A 911 disconnect was checked; everything was OK.

Tuesday: A dog barking complaint was filed in the 300 block of South Coble Street, Marion. A business alarm was activated; everything was OK.

Wednesday: A welfare check was made in the 300 block of North Roosevelt Street. Marion County Sheriff's Deputies received assistance in locating an injury accident outside city limits.

Thursday: A subject was arrested on a probation revocation. An officer met with a resident regarding suspicious activity with the owner's vehicle. A warning citation was issued for a dog running at-large.

Friday: Vehicle identification number inspections were conducted. A dog running at-large was picked up in the 200 block of South Fourth Street. A lost motorist received assistance. Citations were issued for speeding and loud music. A warning citation was issued for defective headlights.

Saturday: Assistance with traffic control was provided during a grass fire at U.S.-56 and Remington Road. A warning for speeding was issued when an officer ran radar on South Third Street. Another warning was issued for speeding.

Sunday: A lost motorist received assistance. A road obstruction was removed from Main Street. A report was made of a runaway; the juvenile was located and returned to foster care. An officer taught a radar class.

Officers drove 672 miles, and issued two citations, five warning citations, and made one arrest.
