Stucky art exhibit open until Oct. 11 years ago
Brian Stucky, art and photography instructor in the Goessel schools, will have an exhibit of artwork from his personal collection in the Emil Kym Art Gallery at Goessel High School.
Over the past 25 years, he has collected paintings and original prints, such as etchings and woodcut prints. The collection includes work from major world-class artists, such as Albrecht Durer, Rembrandt, Goya, Maurice Utrillo, Fritz Eichenberg, and Edouard Manet. Kansas artists include prints by Birger Sandzen, watercolor by Charles Sanderson, and prints by Robert Regier.
The centerpiece of the exhibit is a large, Civil War-era oil painting attributed to early American artist William Garl Browne.
The exhibit is open during school hours from now until Oct. 11. For more information, contact Stucky at the school at (620) 367-4722 or the school office at 367-2242.
