Tabor baseball program signs Monhollon
Tabor head baseball coach John Sparks recently announced his second signing for the 2004-05 season.
Jake Monhollon, a 6'1, 190-pound infielder from Topeka, has signed a letter of intent to join the Bluejays next season.
As a junior at Jefferson West High School, Monhollon hit .493, earning First Team All-State honors at shortstop. As a senior, he hit .578 and was named First Team All-State shortstop and KABC All-Star.
In one year at Barton County Community College, Monhollon hit .393 while playing third base.
"Adding a player of Jake's ability and maturity will have a huge positive effect on our baseball program," said Sparks. "He has the ability to be a dominant player."
