Tabor College announces recent hirings
Tabor College welcomes new faculty, staff, and administration for the 2005-06 academic year.
Eric Codding, Wheaton, Ill., resident director. Codding will serve as resident director of the men's quad, consisting of Kansas, Nebraska, California, and Oklahoma halls.
Codding comes to Tabor College from Aurora Christian School at Illinois where he served as a Bible teacher.
Carol Dirks, Durham, music department secretary. Since 2004, Dirks has been employed as an office assistant for Fast Realty, Hillsboro. She also was self-employed for 12 years with Saxton Fruit Sales.
Lisa Dodson, Wichita, director of business programs, Tabor College Wichita. Dodson's recent academic experience includes serving as research analyst in the Office of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, director of the Southside Education Center, and an associate in the Center for Urban Studies, all at Wichita State University.
Mark Donley, Udall, program representative, Tabor College Wichita. Coming from a background of extensive sales experience, Donley, as program representative, will recruit students for the master's of accounting, RN-BSN, business administration and Christian ministries programs.
D.J. Freeman, Goessel, administrative assistant to the president. Freeman is a graduate of the management and organizational development program at Tabor College Wichita and served as the campus' assistant director from 2001 to 2002. She has served as board member, teacher, and director of Joyful Noise Community Child Care, Inc., Goessel.
Vance Frick, Durham, webmaster, photographer, graphic designer. Frick, a 2004 Tabor College graduate, comes to the public relations office after a year of freelancing and serving as graphics coordinator in the marketing services department of AGCO Corporation, Hesston.
Seth Froese, Corona, Calif., men's resident director. After graduating from Tabor College in 1999, Froese taught science courses at Mission Valley High School, Eskridge, and Owasso High School in Oklahoma. He will serve as resident director for Dakota hall.
Margie Gauna, Wichita, executive assistant, Tabor College Wichita. Gauna makes the transition from recruitment assistant at Friends University, Wichita, to executive assistant at the Tabor College Wichita campus.
Sara Hill, Hillsboro, instructor of English and communications. With 32 years of teaching experience at the high school and middle school levels, Hill joins the Tabor College faculty. Hill taught at Hillsboro High School from 1983 to 2004.
Elisa Hlad, Sylvan Grove, admissions counselor. Hlad worked as a student graphic designer in the Tabor College public relations office before graduating in May 2005. As a student, she served as a student ambassador, peer advisor and mentor.
Bradley Just, Hillsboro, systems administrator/audiovisual coordinator. Just, a 2004 Tabor College graduate, is the first person to hold the title of systems administrator/audiovisual coordinator, a new position created this summer in the information systems department.
Ryan Kelley, Wichita, admissions counselor. Kelley graduated from Tabor College in May 2005, where he served as president of fellowship of Christian athletes, resident assistant, Christian ministries council board member, student activities board treasurer, men's soccer captain, campus visit host and discipleship group leader. Kelley also serves as assistant men's soccer coach.
John Kliewer, Alva, Okla., assistant football and assistant track and field coach. The two-year starter and 2002 graduate of Peru State College in Nebraska played tight end and defensive line, assisting his team to second place in the CSFL Conference in 2001. Kliewer previously coached at Fort Scott Community College and Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Alva.
William Kostlevy, Pasadena, Calif., associate professor of history/political science. Kostlevy, who holds master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Notre Dame, comes to Tabor College from Fuller Theological Seminary where he served as archivist and world Christian librarian. Prior to working at Fuller, he served Asbury Theological Seminary as archivist, special collections librarian, associate professor in theology and history and associate director of the Wesleyan/holiness studies center.
David Loewen, Hillsboro, instructor of education. A graduate of Tabor College and Mennonite Brethren Biblical Seminary, Loewen comes from Elyria Christian School, McPherson, where he spent the last 11 years as an administrator, teacher, and coach.
Cheri Marsh, Hillsboro, library assistant. Since moving to Hillsboro from Elk City, Okla., a few years ago, Marsh has served as FCA Huddle sponsor at Hillsboro High School. She also teaches recreational gymnastics to students ages 4 to 15 years.
Jacob Marshall, Peabody, groundskeeper/maintenance. Marshall was a crew leader for Professional Landscaping, LLC, and responsible for overseeing maintenance of equipment, mowing, trimming, weed control and general maintenance for 22 commercial accounts.
Howard Moffatt, Holliston, Mass., program director of Christian ministries, Tabor College Wichita. Possessing pastoral experience as both senior and assistant pastor, Moffatt also has served as an adjunct faculty member, guest lecturer, and ministry consultant. He holds degrees from Harvard Divinity School, Cambridge, Mass., Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, Mill Valley, Calif.; Denver (Colo.) Seminary; Webster University, St. Louis, Mo.; and Western New England College, Springfield, Mass.
Lawrence Ressler, Rochester, N.Y., vice president for academics and student development. For the past 20 years, Ressler has taught students of all levels — undergraduate, graduate, and adult — and served as an administrator in a variety of positions. He recently served two years as academic dean at Roberts Wesleyan.
Justin Rohrberg, Hays, assistant athletic trainer/clinical instructor. Originally from Tucson, Ariz., and a 2004 graduate of nearby Bethany College, Rohrberg's most recent athletic training experience occurred during the fall 2004 semester at Bethany. He also teaches an anatomy and physiology lab for the biology department.
Jesse Schumacher, Archbold, Ohio, professor of business administration. Schumacher, who earned his bachelor's and master's degrees from Anderson University, Anderson, Ind., has served as finance director of a local United Way office, staff accountant for Avesta Plarit, Inc., and support specialist for Interactive Financial Solutions, Inc.
Deborah White, El Reno, Okla., assistant professor of psychology and director of institutional research. White most recently served as a graduate teaching assistant in the department of educational psychology, University of Oklahoma, Norman, Okla.
