TABOR COLLEGE: Baseballers end rough season

The order was just too tall for the Bluejays.

To prolong its frustrating season, all Tabor had to do was win one of two Tuesday afternoon against one of the KCAC's heavyweights, the hosting Ottawa Braves.

Easier said than done considering Tabor could only conjure up nine hits for the day.

Bluejay coach John Sparks will have his day, but it just won't be this year.

The frustrating season ends for the Bluejays with a 13-29 record on the year, two games under last season's finish as Tabor bowed out after a pair of 9-3 and 9-2 losses.

By the time the Bluejays finally got on the scoreboard in the top of the fifth inning, they were buried in a 5-1 hole.

Any chance of the Bluejays coming back grew bleak the bottom half with Ottawa blowing the game open, rallying for four runs.

Tabor had a 2-1 lead in the nightcap before the Braves added eight insurance runs with four each coming in the fourth and fifth innings.
