TABOR COLLEGE: Players honored by KCAC
Tabor's Angela Kroeker, Hillsboro, and Sara Haggard, Fort Collins, Colo., both received volleyball honors this past week from the KCAC.
Kroeker, a 5-7 junior, was named the conference's Player-of-the-Week after compiling 30 kills (4.29 k/g), only three errors, 64 attempts, a 42.2 percent kill-percentage, two aces (0.29 a/g), 27 digs, 3.86 d/g; one solo-block and four assisted-blocks over the course of seven matches. The Bluejay hitter helped lead her team to a win over Ottawa University (W-3-1) and Friends University (W-3-0).
Haggard, a 5-6 junior, was named the KCAC's Setter-of-the-Week. The Bluejay setter had five kills (0.71 k/g), one error, 11 attempts, a 36.4 percent kill-percentage, 100 assists (14.3 a/g), four aces (0.57 a/g), 17 digs, 2.4 d/g and two assisted-blocks, 0.57 b/g. With the two wins against the Braves and the Falcons, the Bluejays remain in sole possession of first place in the KCAC.
Tabor's Neil Rabi, a 5-9 sophomore forward from Wichita, was named the KCAC's soccer Player-of-the-Week.
Last week in two matches, he had three goals and one assist. At home, Tabor defeated Ottawa University 9-0, and Rabi had two goals and an assist. Against Bethel, the sophomore's one goal and one assist led Tabor past the Threshers, 2-1. The Jays finished the week 2-0 and are 10-6 overall and 8-0 in the KCAC.
