Tabor College tracksters achieve all-American status

Matt Rorabaugh ended a strong 2005 track season by placing fifth in the high jump at the NAIA Outdoor National Track and Field Championships in Louisville, Ky. The top six places in each event are award All-American status. Matt jumped 6' 7".

Brian Lightner, who also competed at the national meet, was awarded Academic All-American status as well. Recipients must qualify to participate in the national meet, carry at least a 3.5 GPA, and be a junior or senior. Brian competed in Louisville in the 110M high hurdles and is a mathematics major.

Three other Tabor athletes also competed at the national meet. Trent Voth ran the 110M high hurdles, Caleb Stanton competed in the 100M dash, and Ashley Scherrer represented Tabor in the triple jump. Ashley made the finals and ended up in ninth place nationally.
