Tabor golf finishes third

Tabor College golf team competed Sept. 20 at William and Jewell College in its first tournament of the season. The Bluejays finished third with 106 players in the field and 20 teams representing 12 different colleges.

Tabor was led by senior all-KCAC performers Brian Wadsworth and Mike Jamieson. Wadsworth individually tied for third place with a two-over-par 74 and Jamiesen individually tied for fifth with a 76.

Junior Nick Anneler shot a 77 and tied for sixth place while newcomer Justin Mainke tied for ninth with an 80.

Team scores were 1. Lindenwood Gold, 304; 2. Lindenwood blue, 304; 3. Tabor College, 307; 4. Graceland Gold, 309; 5. William and Jewell, 312; 6. Kansas City Community College, 313; 7. Missouri Valley Gold, 315; 8. Johnson County Community College, 316; 9. Missouri Valley Red, 319; and 10. Coe College, 321.

The men's golf team played Sept. 26-28 at Oklahoma City University Fall Tournament at Twins Hills Golf and Country Club.
