Tabor golfers end fall season
The Tabor men's golf team placed third Sept. 20 out of 19 teams at the William Jewell College Fall Invitational. Individually, Brian Wadsworth shot a 74 and finished fifth; Mike Jamison, 76, 10th; Nick Anneiler, 77; and Justin Mainka, 80.
Sept. 27- 28 the team competed in the Oklahoma City University All-State Classic finishing 14 out of 17 teams. Individually, Wadsworth finished 30th.
The golf team traveled to Salina Oct. 4 to compete in the Bethany Fall Invitational (36 holes), placing second out of 12 teams. Individually, Wadsworth shot 72, 68 for first place; Jamison 73, 76 for second; Mainka 75, 82; Anneler 77, 85; Adam Frank 86, 92.
Oct. 11- Oct. 12 Tabor played in the Ranger Classic Invitational (27 holes) in Enid, Okla. The team tied for third out of nine teams. Individually, Wadsworth shot 71, 40 for second place; Anneler 80,35; Jamison 76,40; Mainka 82,43; Frank 84,42.
"Our returning seniors led the way with some great golf this fall," said Coach Dan Harrison. "I also am encouraged by the progress and the work ethic of all the guys. It should be a great spring. I believe we can compete for the conference title if we keep working this off-season."
