Tabor master's students to present projects

Two master of education students at Tabor College will present their master's projects at 4 p.m. on Monday in the Wohlgemuth Music Education Center lobby.

Linda Peters, a special education teacher at Hillsboro Elementary School, will examine the effects of social skills training in a physical education class upon emotional development in a presentation titled "The Effects of Social Skills Training Through Cooperative Play on Emotional Intelligence."

The second presentation, to be given by Ellen Vogts of Newton, a consultant with the Harvey County Special Education Cooperative, will examine perceptions by two sets of team members in providing access to the general curriculum for two special needs fourth-grade students. Her project is titled "Purposeful Planning for Students with Disabilities: Outcomes for Students and Team Members."

The public is invited to attend.
