Tabor men s soccer signs three student-athletes
Tabor College men's soccer program has signed three student-athletes, according to head coach Herb Wiebe.
Andy Adrian, Buhler, R. Casey McCoy, Wichita, and Dallas Pruitt, McPherson, all have signed letters of intent for the 2006-07 season.
Adrian, a 6-4 forward from Elyria Christian High School, has received such recognition as first team all-state and first team all southwest region. As a senior, he scored 13 goals with 10 assists.
"Andy will help us a lot next year," said Wiebe. "He can play several positions due to his excellent combination of athleticism and skill. I really feel blessed to have him join our team."
He is the son of Ken and LuAnn Adrian of Buhler.
McCoy, a 5-10 forward and mid-fielder, was the leading scorer at Goddard High School, scoring a record 14 career goals, seven of which were scored in the 2005 season. He also received first team all-league honors twice and was part of the state champion team in 2002.
"I am very excited about adding Casey to the roster," said Wiebe. "He will fit in well with the team. His vision and ability to score will have an immediate impact on our program."
McCoy is the son of Marvin and Carmen Smith of Wichita.
Pruitt, a 5-9 senior at Elyria Christian High School, scored 22 goals and had five assists in the 2005 season. He has received such honors as being named first team all-state, first team all southwest region and second team all southwest region.
He also has received academic honors on the silver honor roll.
"Dallas is a great addition to the team," said Wiebe. "He brings much needed toughness to our program, as well as a quality skill level. He will make an immediate impact on our program as a mid-fielder and defender."
He is the son of Tom and Joni Pruitt of McPherson.
